Sheet Tent!!!!!!

My kiddos made sheet tents this week! Emma, Lily, and the two kids I keep occasionally, grabbed every blanket, sheet, pillow they could find and made tents. They were tiny. You could barely lay under them. But they loved it. I let them stay up over night. Saturday morning, Neil and I get up and they showed Neil what they had made. I told Neil we needed to show them how to really make them. We have the perfect kitchen chairs to do it.

(Clearing away the old tent stuff, making way for the new. See Emma showing off her muscles? Either that or sniffing her armpit. Neither would surprise me. Silly Girl!)

So, we hopped up, and got busy. It was big enough we could all fit, and tall enough Lily could walk under it. They played under it all day,

and when bedtime rolled around, they begged to sleep under it.

So, I blew up our air mattress and put them to bed.

They slept really good until Emma woke up around midnight. She screamed and hollered at us for about 30 minutes, and no, it wasn't night terrors this time, just Emma not getting what she wanted. She woke Lily up, but I told Lily to go back to bed and she did, falling right to sleep. I told Emma not to get up again, and she was out like a light. They slept until I woke them up at 8:30 for church. They really liked it. It is gone now, because I have lived with it for 3 days, and I was sick of it, and two, because our poor puppies couldn't come in with them sleeping in the living room. They would have been all over them. So, my living room is much neater, and you can walk right through it again! They are now, NOT going to sleep, even though it's an hour and a half past their bedtime, but oh well. They are in bed. I'm sure after this week they will be begging for sleep. We have our VBS this week! It's at night and we won't get home until around 9 at the earliest. Neil and I are helping out, and I am so excited about it. It's gonna be a really great time!

Now, doesn't that make you want to get out your old sheets and drag your kitchen chairs into the living room? You know it does!
