Since I'm sure I won't have much time tomorrow to get on here, I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! Hope you all have a fun day, and eat lots of turkey!

What I Love About My Husband
My girls have the most amazing daddy. Even though he comes home tired, after a LONG day at work, he still makes time to play with them, and let them know he thinks they are special. On the days I am about to pull my hair out, he gladly takes them off my hands, even if it's to round them up and run to town to grab dinner and bring it home to me. We just played a game for about an hour, where we had to guess a word for the letters and rhyming words. It was all to help Lily learn her letters and rhymes. It was all Neil's idea. He is such a very special person and I am extremely lucky to call him my husband. And my girls are extremely lucky to call him Daddy! Now I am off to play a round of Domino's with all of them before their bedtime. I love you Neil. And thank you!

Just started this blogging thing, that will have to wait...
Here is Emma reading to her Daddy. In the first grade, they are tested over their library books. She is doing so good! She is a wonderful reader, and reads at a 2nd grade level. She gets better daily. She has signed up to be in UIL. She is doing poetry reading. She reads it so well. We are working on reading with expression and feeling. She is really getting it down. Her teacher said she was doing very well with it.
This is what Lily was so tickled about. Emma would scoot back and run up the slide, then grab Lily's hand and attempt to climb up the slide with Lily's help. Sabrina, as you can see, Emma has inherited Neil's and my funny candid picture taking. I think it's so cute!
More to come later. But to end this session,
"There's nothing better than a sister's love!"
I am so excited! It's Thanksgiving! I love this time of year. It's my absolute favorite! I love the fall, all the holidays, and spending time with family. Last weekend, we spent time with Neil's family, and we are leaving Thursday morning to go to my brother's house to be with my family. We usually have tons of people, tons of food, and tons of fun! We get a little wild when we get together. When we all eat out, we can clear a room quick. We tend to forget we are in public, and we get very loud and laugh a LOT! It's just so much fun! My brother and his wife are hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year. All I gotta say is "Bless you!" I did it once, and it was soooo much work. We had been in our home for just a few months, our youngest was just a baby, and we were about to find out that Emma was experiencing night terrors. It was crazy at our house, but I loved every minute. Jeremy and Mandy just bought their first house together. They also just got custody of my niece and nephew. We are all so excited for them! They are such a sweet family and I thank God they can give Jeff and Laura a safe, loving home!
So, who all is going shopping on Friday? I asked Neil if he wanted to go. He followed with a quick NO. So, maybe the ladies can leave the kids with the guys and go to Amarillo. Sounds like fun to me! I just can't believe it's time to start getting ready for Christmas. This year has just flown by! I can't believe my little girls are getting so big! Emma turning 7 was so hard. She's defiantly out of the baby stage. And Lily starting school. WOW! I have no more babies. But they are so much fun, and make Christmas so much better!

Pray Request
A friend approached me this afternoon as I was picking up Emma from school. She asked if I would pray for a friend of hers. Her friend's name is Carrie, I believe. Carrie's daughter was found dead not far from here over the weekend. If you are from my area, it was on the news. Anyway, she is devastated, and of course, having a hard time with this. So, if you don't mind, please remember this family in your prayers tonight. Also, pray for Patricia, my friend, that she will know what to do or say for her friend. Thank you!

Family Time
This weekend was Neil's family's Thanksgiving get together. It was a lot of fun. The girls and us stayed the night with Memaw and Papa, and went to church with them this morning. It was a lot of fun seeing all the family. And the girls loved playing with all their cousins! We dropped Neil off at UMC, ran to Wal-mart (of course!), and got home and started unpacking the van. (Sorry Neil, the tiller didn't get unpacked.) Emma asked if we could go for a walk, which usually means, "Can we walk to the park?" It was such a beautiful afternoon, so I grabbed the camera and we took off. It was a lot of fun, and I thoroughly annoyed the girls with the camera. I have so much to learn about this camera. But I got a few cute pictures.
I took over 100 photos, so when I get them organized I'll post some more.
You can see in the photos that our girls like to get dirty. No matter that Lily is still dressed in her outfit she wore to church. She wasn't in the mood to change when we got home, she LOVES wearing dresses, so she slipped on the boots and we took off. So, that's what the tutus and mud pies are for. These girls would gladly get decked out in their princess dresses, high heels and all, and sit in the mud, making pies. Fun for them, cute photos for me, work-out for the washing machine. I have yet to find a good stain remover, so if anyone has any miracles, PLEASE share them!!!!!!
Welcome!

Neil bought me my Christmas present early! It is a brand new Canon Rebel. I am so excited to have the chance to learn about taking pictures, especially of our little girls! I was trying to think of an easy way to share these photos with family and friends when my sister in law told me she had started blogging. What a great way to share our lives and photos with our loved ones! So, here we are. Welcome to our blog. Please enjoy!
