Baby Update
I promised an update, and of course, I forgot. Anyway, on March 11th, Neil and I went to our 16 week check up. We finally got to hear the sweet heartbeat of our baby. It was the best sound ever! The heartbeat measured in the 140's and I was measuring about 18 weeks. The measurements don't mean much right now, but just thought that was neat. I am feeling a lot of kicks in the last 2 or 3 days. Finally! It's such a relief to sit and feel Little One kicking me. On Thursday, Neil grabbed me and pressed his face against my tummy and said "Hello Baby! I'm your daddy!" Not 2 seconds later, I felt the biggest kick I've felt yet, or since. It was so sweet! Baby was saying hi back. I can't wait until the kicks are strong enough that Neil and the girls can feel them. I've had a lot of growing pains lately. For a week, I couldn't walk without a limp, and I kept saying, "I wonder if the baby is having a growth spurt. Sure enough, I get my weekly newsletter, and it says growth spurt expected! I wonder if that's why I was measuring 2 weeks ahead! I'm still waiting for the 2nd trimester energy surge. It's so not happening for me this time. I am still exhausted, slightly nauseous, and have zero energy. It's really starting to bother me. But, we are surviving, and as long as the baby is healthy, I'll take it. We have an officially date set for the baby's birth. August 17! It's so strange telling people, of course this all depends on the baby cooperating! :) Our doctor asked what day we wanted. We said the 17th, both girls were born on the 17th of their month. He said he didn't do c-sections on Tuesdays and of course that's the 17th. He asked why and we explained the reason, so he said, we'll do it, it'll be after his ob's, but it'll work out. So, somewhere between noon and 5:00 pm we should be in surgery. I love my doctor! I don't think I'll enjoy waiting around all day, I can make myself sick with anticipation, but we are really excited to have it scheduled for the 17th! Neil is glad he'll only have to remember the year. Months are easy and 17th for everyone, he's set. Now, the name.......UGH! We have NOTHING! I found a boy name today, texted Neil, and he said "Hmm all that I know are trouble." So that was out. It's funny how knowing people with that name influences your like or dislike of it. So, we still have nothing. No girl name, no boy name. The only things is, if it's a girl, I want Ann incorporated into it somehow. That's hard! I know we will come up with something, but Neil was Baby Boy W---- for 3 days or so, and I'm not sure I could handle that anxiety! :) Well, we have a little less than 5 months to figure it out, so I guess we have time. Our next appointment is April 7th! I will have lots to share after that appointment because it's our BIG ultrasound! For most, that means finding out the sex, but we are just gonna make sure our little one is healthy, and have lots of fun watching him/her wiggling around. We will find out on August 17th what we are having. It's so hard knowing that we could easily know in 2 1/2 weeks what we are having, but it's so much fun hearing "It's a ---!" when we meet the baby! And I love that Neil gets the joy of introducing our family to our new addition! Sorry for the delayed update, and hope everyone had a great Spring Break!

Preggie Brain
Yesterday, we were all at Lowes getting stuff to make our ice maker work with our RO system. Lily was riding in a cart that didn't look completely safe, so I kept reminding her to sit on her bottom. After telling her for the upteenth time, I meant to tell her, Lily sit down on your butt or you're gonna walk, instead it was " Lily sit down or you're gonna walk on your butt!" I know, it's not as funny to you, but I just started laughing and couldn't stop. Emma kept asking, "why was that so funny?" I even texted it to a friend, and as I was typing it tears were pouring down my face, I was pretty much sobbing. I think she thinks I'm a nut now. But I just couldn't stop laughing about it. (I'm still chuckling about it now.) Oh my! I had to hide my face when people walked by because it looked like I was really upset. It was so embarrassing! Anyway, just thought it was hilarious how simple minded I get when I'm pregnant!
Have a good day!

Good morning!
I really don't have much to update. Not a lot has been going on. We have been doing pretty good, except for a few days where the girls and Neil took turns having the stomach bug. Thankfully, it was less than 24 hours for each of them. Emma's only lasted about 5 hours. Neil took such good care of the girls, since I could not stomach it. I felt so sorry for them. Poor babies, as they were getting sick, I would run out of the room gagging, and yelling, "It's ok, your ok, NEIL!, your ok, Daddy's coming, NEIL!!!" I am so thankful I have such a good man to help me out when times are rough.
My pregnancy is going really good. It's a completely different ball game with this one. My constant nausea has eased. But I still get it occasionally. Especially at night, and especially while I brush my teeth. We all have a dentist appointment next week, that's going to be interesting. The baby is getting bigger. I have officially switched to maternity clothes. I couldn't handle the pressure of my jeans anymore. I went and bought a pair of maternity jeans the other day and about croaked when I saw they were $35. $35 for a pair of jeans I will get to wear for maybe 6 months. Nice. I told Neil, I just hope summer stuff is cheaper. I'm sure I will be living in gauchos, Capri's and tanks. Unfortunately, most of my old maternity clothes either don't fit, are the wrong season, or are just uncomfortable. I have felt the baby move. Just a couple of times, but I'm pretty sure it was the baby. The first time Neil and I were laying in bed watching tv and I was curled up on my side. I just melted. I think Neil did too. The next time, I was curled up in bed, I'm there often :), and the same thing. I texted Neil, since he was working, and he was excited. He's always asking "what do you think the baby is doing in there?" So sweet. The girls are loving my tummy. Literally. They are always hugging it, kissing it, and talking to the baby. They are so excited and are going to be the best big sisters! I can't wait for them to be able to feel the kicks too. My next appointment is the 11th, so I will post an update when that happens.
Anyway, I've got tons of things to do this week, so I thought I would pop in and say hi with a quick update. I will be making Lily's Fancy Nancy birthday party invitations this week and hopefully I will have them mailed out by Thursday. So, everyone look for those in the mail.
Have a great week!
