Christmas Program 2009

The girls had an awesome Christmas program this school year. It was Twas the Night Before Christmas! Emma was the narrator and did a wonderful job!

Lily was so cute to watch. She gets into her parts so much!

Emma spent most of her time in this chair. As the narrator, she pretty much did the whole Twas the Night Before Christmas story, but with a twist. She did a great job learning her part!

I made her a book as a prop, but there were no lines in it. She memorized the whole thing. She was so nervous about it, but did an amazing job!

Santa Land

Neil and I and some of our friends took our girls to see Santa at Santa Land. It was so much fun, but it was FREEZING!!! It didn't take too long to get thru the line, and the girls had a ball being with each other.

Here is Neil, Sherie, Mike and their oldest daughter Lori.

Fun in the Snow!

So, the girls are with Grandma and Grandpa and my house needs a deep cleaning, so I'll continue on with our winter months! (:

The dogs love snow days when Neil is home. They get a good bath and get to hang out with us inside where it's warm.

And our Wii tends to get a work out!

The girls loved playing outside in the snow. Their poor feet would be frozen by the time they came in. We'd dunk them in a warm bath and fill their tummies with hot cocoa! Lily still asks me for cocoa even now, and it's in the 100's!

We all made snow angels. They were so sweet!

And Lily and her daddy worked on a snow man. Lily was very proud of it and searched for the perfect things to help complete it!

Neil made a little makeshift sled for the girlies and drug them through the now. The loved it!!

Ok, Neil is already home, and asleep on the couch, so I better get off. We have our sibling tour tomorrow at the hospital! I'm so excited! It's getting so close to D day and we are finally able to get things done. Like the sibling tour. I'm guessing they are gonna show the girls around the hospital and let them kinda see what they are gonna see on delivery day, and I think they are gonna do an activity! Anyway, I will let you know! Stay tuned for Christmas posts!

Pumpkin Carving!

We let the girls carve pumpkins this year. They turned out very good! They told us what they wanted, and we gave them a print out.

They even did the messy part!

I helped Lily make a turkey

And Emma and Neil did a chicken. Lol! I don't know why she wanted a chicken, but she made a chicken.
They turned out so cute!
And these are our hand turkeys we made years ago. I think Lily was maybe a year old. We dressed them with shoes and Lily's even had a bib! Emma loved doing this! We're gonna have to make new ones this year to include the new baby's!

Catch up posts! Starting with Halloween!

I have posts that I had wanted to do since Halloween! 8 months ago! Since finding out I am pregnant, I've just become a couch potato. I'm hoping to change that, since it's summer and the kids are home. I don't think they really want to sit on the couch all day with me! (: So, since Neil is at work, and the girls are suppose to be asleep, I will try to catch up a bit. There won't be as many pictures involved, because I want to finish before the baby gets here, but at least you'll get to see what we've been up to the last several months!

We had a great Halloween! We started it out with meeting Neil's parents at the maze and wandering lost for a while. I wish I knew how long it took us to go thru it. Probably if I had written the blog 8 months ago, you would know...

This is the path we took. Yea, I think we pretty much walked the whole thing!! LOL!

The girls loved running thru it. We only got a little wore out, but for the most part, they did great! They were so cute, and so excited to find the next clue!

A desperate cry for help! I'm guessing whoever wrote this made it out safety.

I tried to take a picture at each corn number of whoever found it first. The girls loved it!

Yea, we were in the middle of that somewhere!

Some of us were trying to cheat...

...and some of us got tired...

...and sometimes we didn't always agree which way to go...

...but, we made it! We got all the way thru the maze!!

After the maze we walked around looking at the animals they had,

and resting in the shade.

The girls rode in the barrels. Why they both rode in the same one, I have no idea!

Our little pumpkin heads!

Emma dressed up like cat woman. She really didn't care much what the costume looked like, as long as she had ears, a tail, and the nails...(:...and we found this cool eye makeup that you just rubbed over your eye lid and it left a leopard print on your eye. Too neat!

And Lily went as Fancy Nancy! She was so cute, and it fit her perfectly. We even had a Fancy Nancy birthday party, which you will get to see!

Then we met up with some friends and went trunk or treating at a church in town. Afterward, we ate at McDonald's. I didn't get any pictures of them trick or treating, we were pretty busy. But they had fun. When we got back to our small town, we hit a few houses that were still lite up. I don't think we made it home until after 9:00. But the girls had LOTS of fun!

(I'm sitting here waiting for the first 5 pictures to load, and I just realized the next Halloween is WAY closer than Halloween 2009! I should be wondering what the kids are gonna wear, and what cute little costume I can cram our new baby into, instead of playing catch up post. So sad! LOL!)
