I just have to say...

Shhh...don't tell my dad I said this okay? I have to get this off my chest. The Super Bowl is boring! I don't even care about the commercials. And half time? YAWN! Of course it hasn't happened yet, but it will. I believe the only half time show I liked was back in 1993 with Michael Jackson and his "Heal the World" song. Remember that? I do. I was 13. Of course, I'm smarter now. I don't care for the guy anymore. But that's the only show I remember. I just asked Neil what shows he liked best. And he said the only ones he remembered were Michael Jackson, awww...we are so much alike, and the Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake show. Hmmm, I wonder why he remembers that one. I'm sure it's not because it was only 2 years ago. Probably more along the lines of boobs flying. Ok, it wasn't boobs, and they weren't flying. Just one boob and a "wardrobe malfunction." Ooops, my boob is under there. Duh! Anyway, I'm just glad it was fast enough my oldest missed it. But, unfortunately, not fast enough my husband and I missed it.

But, I have embraced the tradition. Well, I've embraced the tradition when Neil isn't working. So, we have the traditional "bowl" food. Wings, homemade thank you very much, chips, dip, popcorn, beverages. Yum. I guess I do like the Super Bowl. Oh, wait, no I don't. I'm just embracing it. And gaining weight because I've embraced it too much. Oh, well. We only live just once. Anyway, I made a cookie cake. Wanna see?

I told Neil, "OK, Dad, I know you are a guy and all. So, I put a football on it. But you are surrounded by girls, so I had to add on the flowers." He laughed pretty good at that one. And he loved it. We cut it when Lily woke up from her nap. Yeah, I don't know what that nap business was all about. They were very ready to have at it. So, Daddy cut it into "pizza slices."

I was sitting with Lily while she finished. And it was so funny what I saw her doing. She took a few bites of the cookie. And then she cleaned off the icing. She went for another piece, and cleaned off the icing. No eating it for appearence sakes this time. Then she started for another one, and I told her, just finish off Sister's icing and that's all. No more! (Emma didn't want hers.) So, she did, and she was happy. I told you we were embracing this Super Bowl thing!

And now, my loving husband is glued to the tv, saying "Watch this Babe! Boom!" , the girls are squishing me, asking "What's that say, Mommy?" And me? I want to take pictures, but my camera's battery has chosen this moment to need recharging. Can't complain, though, because I believe this is only the third time I've recharged it. Pretty good, huh?

I like to capture our little moments on "film." I look back over the last few years on my computer, and I love reliving the little moments. We went to Lubbock yesterday, and I would have taken pictures, but I thought the people in the movie theater would have been a little ticked. You know, because I would have had to use the flash. It was dark.

We went to see Madgascar 2 yesterday. It was SO good! We have the first one, and we love it, too. These shows make even Neil and I laugh out loud. It was really good. You should take your kids to see it. Or grandkids, or moms and dads. Or just go alone. Great movie. First, we went to Walmart and bought snacks. Then, we ate at Taco Villa, and then we went to the movies. My purse was heavy with snacks! Shh, don't tell anyone. Afterwards, we walked around Target for awhile, and decided to go spend less money at Walmart, and got Super Bowl goodies. It was lots of fun. I really wanted the girls to have fun yesterday. Well, everyday, but yesterday especially. Life is too short. Especially when you are surround by the ones you love. The girls had a ball. They were glued to the movie, and there were no potty breaks. It had to be a really great movie for that. Emma can NOT get through a whole movie without a break. Drives me crazy. But they were awesome.

Ok, it's getting late, and my kiddos need to eat before they go to bed. Where did the time go? So, have fun watching the Super Bowl. Because I know I'm the only one who won't be watching it. Well, me and Rhonda, who is only watching for the commercials. So, have fun! And goodnight. At least for now. I might get back on later.

Bye!
